- I believe that hard work is the most important ingredient for success, because without it, nothing would be possible. Usually opportunities do not come without the presence of hard work paving their way, and luck and skill will doing nothing for someone if they are not willing to cultivate them through hard work in whatever they are doing. I think that opportunity should come next, because hard work creates opportunities, but without the opportunity to do something, even the most skilled people can't be successful. Once they find an opportunity however, they can put whatever skills they have gained through hard work and luck that they have to use. I put skill before luck because skill will come as a direct result of hard work, and once given the opportunity, skill is the most important aspect in order to get a job done well. Skill is necessary to do things successfully and to keep being successful in whatever one is doing. Luck was last on my list, because although it can be very helpful, and even necessary in some cases, it can do nothing by itself. If someone is lucky, they might start out strong in something, but if they don't have any of the other aspects then they cannot thrive and be successful in any endeavor that they take on. Luck is only something that can drive someone or something that is already fueled by hard work, opportunity, and skill.
